David M. Johnson joined the staff in 1952 as a food-service and public-lodging accountant. As of 1984, he had served for 15 years as the director of accounting in the Division of Business and Finance.
Johnson was commended for revising the University’s accounting system twice as director of accounting and for “earning the affections and respect of supervisor and subordinate alike” while doing so.
