Harold E. Wilson, who worked for printing and duplicating for 24 years was manager since 1982, was cited “for brilliant managerial skills and work that consistently reflects great credit upon the University.”

Wilson managed 68 employees offering services such as binding, copying, design, layout, paste-up, printing and typesetting as well as a bulk mail center.

Wilson’s award citation noted that the demands he faced included short deadlines and hundreds of perfectionists looking over his shoulder.

He deals with all of these “by spending long hours at his labor, lending his compassionate support and keen skill to his colleagues, and leading his organization with a blend of technological proficiency and personal caring that enables it to produce fine printing, beautiful graphics, fast duplication, thousands of University mailings a year, and everything from one-page flyers to The University Record and handsomely printed books.”
